Review by: Robert Bailey

Last Tuesday I began to read ‘The Silent-footed Butler’, which basically swallowed me up until this morning when I read the final few chapters. It occupied all my free hours in the reading of it and all the rest of the time thinking about what an incredible achievement it is. I needn’t tell you that the work which went into it is superhuman, and to come out with such a powerful and deeply affecting piece of work has made a very profound impression on me which will last for quite some time. I found myself weeping a number of times, not only about the tragic death of Chris, but also at the suffering of other members of your family over the generations and your own struggles, which you seem to have emerged from in an inspiring and life-affirming way. With love, thanks and much admiration,
Robert Bailey – professional musician
